Edge Tearfully Hits A Con-Chair-To, Defeats Randy Orton At WrestleMania 36

In one of the most heated matches at WWE WrestleMania 36, Edge faced Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match. This rivalry has been one of WWE’s hottest stories in recent memory and many fans eagerly anticipated Edge’s first singles match in nine years. During his entrance, Orton, disguised as a cameraman, attacked Edge from behind and dropped him with an RKO. The match started and Orton planted Edge with another RKO.

Orton grabbed a camera and hit Edge with it. The fight spilled into the backstage/gym section of the WWE Performance Center. The Viper choked Edge with a weight-lifting cable. Edge vaulted off a piece of gym equipment and kicked Orton. Edge took control of the match and repeatedly punched Orton. Then, The Rated R Superstar screamed in rage. Edge vaulted off the gym equipment again and knocked Orton out of a chair. Orton send Edge sprawling into a wall. The Viper tried to ram Edge with a sled but he moved. The two rivals moved to the production area and Edge bounced Orton’s head off a steel door. Back in the main arena, Orton slammed Edge’s head into an LED board. Orton dragged Edge backstage and bounced his head off a window. Edge threw Orton onto a conference table and vaulted off steel grating above table in order to hit an elbow drop. Orton thumbed Edge in the eye and slammed his head into some WWE event posters. The Viper continued to use anything at his disposal to brutalize Edge. The Rated R Superstar threw a sandbag at Orton and regained control of the match. Edge slowly climbed up a ladder and hit an elbow drop through a table.

Orton and Edge climbed onto a pickup truck and Orton hit a spike DDT onto the bed cover of the truck. The Viper laughed as Edge climbed onto the roof of an even bigger truck. Orton followed him up and tried to Punt Edge. But the Rated R Superstar countered it into a Spear. Orton countered another Spear into an RKO onto the roof of the truck. Edge barely made his back to his feet and Orton blasted him with a chair. The Viper tried to hit a Con-Chair-To but Edge locked in a chokehold and put Orton down. With tears streaming down his face, Edge blasted Orton with a Con-Chair-To. Orton couldn’t get to his feet, so Edge won the match.
