Roman Reigns Confirms He Pulled Himself From WrestleMania 36

Roman Reigns posted a video message to fans encouraging positivity amongst the global pandemic, and it included confirmation of a widely reported story regarding his scheduled title match with Goldberg at WrestleMania 36. Roman said that he pulled out of wrestling during the taping, and then told a story about his fans and how they reacted to hearing the news.

It’s funny. For years now, people are like “Don’t show up to WrestleMania, we don’t want you in it.” There’s a nice handful of dudes and haters who don’t want me there,  but the moment I make a choice for me and my family, I’m a coward, I’m a sissy, a lot of different things that I am.

Roman goes on to say that fans don’t know the whole story, saying that everyone is assuming that his decision was because of his health. He says that fans should “read a few chapters” before judging his book, offering a newborn baby and elderly relatives living with him as other possible reasons for his choice.

In any case, even if WWE isn’t ready to announce it, it seems inevitable that Brock Lesnar Goldberg will take on Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship this weekend instead of The Big Dog.
