Matt Hardy is now officially gone from the WWE roster and free to continue his wrestling career elsewhere, but he doesn’t hold any grudges against Vince McMahon or WWE.

Speaking to David LaGreca and Tommy Dreamer on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Hardy said he had no ill will to the biggest wrestling company. “I am very grateful, as I’ve said in my videos…if it wasn’t for Vince McMahon giving me an opportunity 20+ years ago, I wouldn’t have had this life that I have right now,” he said. “So I will always be grateful to him for that. Even if there’s thing, like later on, that we didn’t see eye-to-eye on, it is what it is, that’s business.”

Hardy went on to say that when it comes to the WWE, he feels that he’s “aged out” in some ways, and that he is no longer a priority. “I get that, and I understand that, and that’s no issue,” he said. “I don’t have any resentment towards anyone, I’m very happy with the I had there.” The wrestling legend said he’s happy he had the chance to come back and be an ambassador, and happy he was given the chance to perform a version of his “broken” Matt Hardy character, but at the end of the day, it was time for him to go.
