The Packaging

This set features the typical red and white 2020 basic style packaging with their names on the side with an image of the wrestler as well followed by everyone in the set listed on the back. Lars’ box happens to say ‘First Time in the Line’ as it’s his very first action figure and who knows if we’ll see another after that.

R-Truth

This is R-Truth’s latest figure in what may be years now. He’s been long overdue for some new figures and finally got one and his Elite 78 figure will look identical to this one. Truth features an all-new head sculpt with a fantastic likeness. His hair is in a bun and he has a huge grin on his face. His body and arms are covered in his latest tattoos, which I don’t recall his earlier figures having quite as many. Not to mention his white glove on his right hand, elbow pad on his left arm and black wrist tape as well. Truth looks to have a John Cena lower torso with the shorts and sneakers.

Overall, this is a great update of Truth. The piercings on his face are nice details besides all of his tattoos. It’s just nice to have a current version of him as he’s been absent from the toy line for quite some time now. I highly recommend picking it up if you’re a fan and want a modern figure of him, but he does have a very similar Elite with the 24/7 title coming soon.

Johnny Gargano

This is Johnny’s first Basic style figure in the main line and it features his X-men themed attire, which is really cool. It’s too bad this was in a Basic style than Elite but regardelss the detail is very nice. You can see the themed logos on his trunks, knee pads and kickpads. The yellow attire is very vibrant and if you’re an X-men fan it makes it another great reason to pick him up. The head scan is the same as his latest Elite, which looks pretty good I guess. It’s not my favorite scan of his personally.

Overall, the detail on him is great and the attire choice is really cool for nostalgic X-men fans. If you’re a Johnny fan and want one of his awesome themed attires I’d suggest picking this one up. Hopefully we do get some Elites in his superhero attires as well!

Carmella

Carmella is my favorite in the set. This is by far her best Basic figure to date. The new head scan looks just like her with her longer hair in the ponytail and a big grin on her face. She’s in her jersey-like attire with the jersey style top with Fabulous on the front and Mella on the back. She has her blue shorts and her legs are even darker colored to represent her leggings she wears to protect her legs, which is an awesome detail. Lastly she has her blue knee pads, socks and sneakers.

Carmella also has a Chase, which you can see in the gallery. Unfortunately we didn’t get our hands on it for this review but the Chase has her brunette hair color followed by her red/purple jersey attire. It’s a very cool chase considering it’s a different look for her completely than just her outfit.

Overall, definitely her best to date. Once again I wish this one was Elite than a Basic style but it’s still a nice figure. I’m not sure when we will be getting another of her anyway so I do recommend picking this one up as well.

Triple H

Triple H’s figure looks a lot like his others as his overall look doesn’t change much these days. This figure is practically a Basic-style version of his Elite 73 figure with his latest head scan, which is great. He has his elbow pads with his logo on them, his white wrist and hand tape followed by black trunks, knee pads and boots. You can see his different logos on all of them.

Overall, if you have one Triple H in the past year or two you practically have them all. The updated scan in terms of likeness is much better but the attire isn’t anything super exciting in my opinion. I’d recommend his Elite over this one personally unless you prefer this style figure.

Finn Bálor

It’s interesting how Finn is also pretty much identical to his Elite 74 figure that recently came out. This figure has slightly less detail due to budget restrictions but still looks decent overall. It’s his red attire with the Bálor Club logo on his trunks. He has his latest head scan that looks just like him with the cheesy grin on his face. The detail on his knee pads is nice followed by his all white kick pads.

Overall, it’s nice to have a Bálor figure in a colored attire than in a black attire like a lot of his figures have. If you didn’t pickup his latest Elite then I’d recommend this one, but of course would recommend an Elite over a Basic most times. The Elite has more detail as well, plus his jacket.

Overall

Overall, this is one of the better Basic series in awhile honestly. The figures look pretty nice overall, especially Truth, Gargano and Carmella. Those would be my top ones to pickup from this set but they all have their perks if you’re into this style WWE figure. Plus who knows when we will see more Carmella figures so I’d suggest picking her up most of anyone in this set honestly.
