Backstage, William Regal announces there is going to be a series of qualifying matches over the next few weeks. The winners of those matches will go on to Takeover: Tampa to compete in a ladder match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
In-Ring Segment: Finn Bálor
Bálor says he is “The Guy”. Bálor builds brands. Bálor list all the places and things he has done. As Bálor is talking Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel interrupt. Barthel says there is something Bálor hasn’t done. The NXT UK champion WALTER would like to send his regards. Bálor attacks them before they can attack him. Bálor sets up a shotgun dropkick outside the ring but Barthel catches Bálor, mid-run, with a sick running European uppercut. Barthel and Aichner send Bálor into the ringsteps.
Mia Yim vs. Xia Li
Li fires up and lands a few kicks. Li misses a dropkick. Yim lands her finish. Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalaz walk out on stage. Kai says she owes Yim one for taking her spot at War Games. Li rolls up Yim for the win.
Winner- Xia Li
After the match, Gonzalaz destroys everyone.
Backstage, Velveteen Dream says he isn’t done with Roderick Strong. Dream asks Regal to leave up the steel cage next week. Dream wants Strong to feel the cage.
Austin Theory vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Ciampa catches Theory with a big boot. Ciampa beats on Theory inside the ring and outside the ring. After the break, Ciampa pins Theory after the Fairytale Ending.
Winner- Tommaso Ciampa
After the match, Johnny Gargano attacks Ciampa.
