In-Ring Segment: Randy Orton
Orton does say a word. The crowd showers Orton with boos. Orton points to the big screen. A video of Orton attacking Matt Hardy plays. Orton says he I supposed to fight Hardy tonight in a no-holds-barred match. After what happened last week it isn’t going to happen. Hardy is trying to get cleared in the back right now but that isn’t going to happen. Hardy walks out on the stage. Hardy is in street clothes and a neck brace. Hardy asks Orton what the hell is wrong with him. Hardy says Orton tried to take everything away from him but Hardy isn’t ready to go. Hardy mentions they won’t clear him to compete tonight. It doesn’t matter. Hardy has grit, just like Edge. Matt Hardy will not die. Hardy won’t fade away on Orton’s terms.
Orton says Hardy is a sitting duck. Orton says Hardy has balls but no one will ever understand why he did what he did. Orton says he respects Hardy for everything he has done. Orton loves Edge like a brother. Orton apologizes and leaves the ring. Orton makes it to the stage. Orton stops and takes off his vest. Hardy grabs a steel chair. Hardy misses a chair shot. Orton stuns Hardy on the top rope. Hardy falls to the mat clutching at his injured neck. Orton RKOs Hardy. Orton beats Hardy down with the chair. Orton sets up a con-chair-to. Orton thinks about it and tosses the chair out of the ring. Orton leaves the ring. Orton turns around and pulls Hardy out of the ring. Orton sets up the ring steps. Orton lays Hardy’s head on the steps. Orton does the con-chair-to with the ringsteps, crushing Hardy’s head. Hardy isn’t moving. Orton does it again while screaming that he is sorry.
