Six SmackDown Live Superstars will have a chance to face “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania—if they can survive the Elimination Chamber match.
According to an ad that ran locally in the Philadelphia area during RAW last night, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, King Baron Corbin and Robert Roode will be the brand’s entrants in the Elimination Chamber match, with a shot at Wyatt’s title on the line. Since then, the Wells Fargo Center (host of the PPV event) has advertised the match on their website and in a promo video on social media.
WWE Elimination Chamber is the final WWE pay-per-view event before WrestleMania 36 on April 5 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
Prior to Elimination Chamber, Wyatt will defend the Universal Championship against the returning Bill Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia later this month.
In addition to the Chamber match, the Wells Fargo Center is also advertising a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between current champions The New Day and The Miz & John Morrison. The two teams are already scheduled to face off at WWE Super Showdown, making it likely that we could see a rematch at the following event.
Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, Bayley and Charlotte Flair are also advertised as appearing at the 2020 Elimination Chamber PPV.
