The news broke this past week that Goldberg will be challenging The Fiend Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia later this month.
Speculation arose on the possibility that Goldberg could actually win the title and take it into WrestleMania. According to The Wrestling Observer, this will not be the case.
Dave Meltzer has indicated that as of the last creative meeting, plans still call for Bray Wyatt to take on Roman Reigns at the event. There have even been talks that this could be the true main event of the show (last match on the card). Goldberg is slated to either lose clean to Wyatt at Super Showdown or in an alternative manner such as a DQ or a countout finish.
