Welcome to another weekend edition of the WZ Roundup, featuring all the miscellaneous bits and bobs that would otherwise be lost in the vast void of cyberspace. We start off this week’s festivities with a photo from La Champion partying with WWE’s most dour backstage personality and occasional wrestler, EC3.
Chris Jericho deliberately teases that the former TNA World Champion will end up in AEW, which would be a good fit for the creative and hungry star. Still, it’s not much more than a photo at this juncture.
Speaking of ventures outside of WWE, the XFL rose up like a phoenix from the ashes this weekend with the new leagues inaugural two games. Injured SmackDown star Xavier Woods is enjoying what he’s seeing so far, and former RAW Announcer Dio Maddin may be interested in pulling double duty.
I’ll probably be there soon with 4 years of promo class under my belt.

Needless to say, Xavier is psyched about the possibility.

In other XFL news, Shane McMahon was spotted by PWInsider on the sidelines of today’s launch. The league was reborn with a tussle between the Seattle Dragons and the DC Defenders.
The XFL’s premiere seems to be garnering a positive response, as both the league’s name and XFL Legend He Hate Me are trending on Twitter.
Speaking of “Hate”, is there any better word to describe the relationship between MJF and Cody Rhodes? Checking in with Mr. Salt of the Earth, he’s currently using his hate as fuel in the gym.
