The Authors of Pain And Buddy Murphy Defeat Kevin Owens And The Viking Raiders

This week, Kevin Owens continued his rivalry with Seth Rollins’ associates.  Kevin Owens and the Viking Raiders faced Buddy Murphy and the Authors of Pain in a six-man tag team elimination match. Rollins accompanied his allies to the ring. Last week, Samoa Joe and Owens unsuccessfully challenged Rollins and Murphy for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship. During that match, Samoa Joe suffered an injury and he is currently unable to compete.

Owens overpowered Murphy early on. The Viking Raiders double-teamed Murphy to maintain control. Ivar and Rezar squared off and the Authors of Pain double-teamed Erik. Murphy and his teammates isolated Erik until he nailed Murphy with a stiff knee. Ivar tagged in and cleared house. The Viking Raiders double-teamed Murphy. Erik and Ivar dove onto their opponents outside the ring.

Ivar dove into the LED board and Rollins stomped Erik at ringside. He rolled Erik into the ring and Murphy pinned him to eliminate him. Ivar’s dive hurt his shoulder, so referees escorted him to the back. For the second week in a row, Owens was left on his own.

The remaining trio dominated Owens, who rallied and slammed Murphy into the barricade. Murphy and thee Authors of Pain regained control. They squashed Owens’ attempts to persevere. But then he dropped Murphy with a DDT.

Owens rallied again with a flurry of offense. Murphy countered a Swanton Bomb but Owens eliminated him with a pop-up powerbomb. Owens floored Akam with a stunner and pinned him to eliminate him. Owens rocked Rezar with two superkicks and hit him with a cannonball. A Swanton Bomb earned Owens a two count. Rollins distracted Owens and Rezar capitalized. He dropped Owens with two spinebusters for the win despite Owens’ valiant effort.
