Update: WWE has confirmed Andrade’s suspension, posting the following statement:
STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE has suspended Andrade (Manuel Oropeza) for 30 days effective immediately for a first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
WWE Superstar and current United States Champion Andrade has failed a drug test.
Per Pro Wrestling Sheet, Manuel Oropeza failed the WWE wellness policy for a currently unknown substance. He was made aware of the failure this morning and they used Humberto Carrillo hitting a Hammerlock DDT on Andrade to concrete as a way to write off the character as he serves his suspension.
No official suspension has been made by WWE just yet. Most recently, Primo Colon and Robert Roode failed drug tests.
