This week on WWE RAW, Andrade defended the WWE United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo. Andrade successfully defended the title against Carrillo at WWE Royal Rumble Kickoff. Carrillo took the fight to Andrade right away but the champion sent Carrillo crashing into the ring post. Andrade took control of the match but Carrillo rallied with a dive to the outside.

Andrade grounded Carrillo but he rallied and rocked Andrade with a kick to the head. An athletic moonsault earned Carrillo a two count. Carrillo hit another moonsault by Zelina Vega broke up the pin. The referee disqualified Andrade and Carrillo angrily attacked Andrade. Carrillo exposed the concrete floor and hit a Hammerlock DDT on the unforgiving ground.
