NWA Hard Times Results (1/24/19)

A video package previews the Allysin Kay/Thunder Rosa feud.

NWA World Women’s Championship: Allysin Kay (c) vs. Thunder Rosa 

Both women immediately start throwing punches and the match is a fight early on. Kay stomps away at her and maintains the advantage with some strikes. A neckbreaker drops Rosa, who rolls to the outside. Kay suplexes her back into the ring but some strikes from Rosa earn her some breathing room. Stiff strikes in the corner rock Kay. Rosa suplexes the champion. A pendulum dropkick sends Kay head-first into the stands. Rosa locks in a Crossface and but Kay briefly executes a Guillotine choke before Rosa reaches the ropes. Rosa continues to target Kay’s arm. An armbar weakens the arm even further. Both women trade strikes but Rosa locks in an armbar again.

A German suplex plants Rosa. The challenger fires back with a German suplex of her own. Kay powerbombs Rosa onto the apron. Rosa rolls Kay up for a two count and hits a Shining Wizard. A Canadian Destroyer earns Rosa a two count. An Octopus Hold tests Kay’s resolve but she counters it into a Tombstone Piledriver for a near fall. A missile dropkick sends Kay crashing to the mat. Kay hits an AK-47 for a near fall. Both women trade strikes again. The champion escapes a Guillotine but Rosa hits a sunset flip powerbomb for a two count. A stiff kick rocks Rosa but Kay goes shoulder-first into the ring post. Rosa locks in an armbar but Kay powers out. The challenger hits the Thunder Driver for the win.

A video package recaps Nick Aldis’ feud with Marty Scurll and, by extension, Flip Gordon.

Marty Scurll comes to the stage and speaks with Joe Galli. Scurll says he’s there because he wants his shot at the Ten Pounds of Gold. The Villain says Aldis is avoiding him. Scurll says he’s going to keep bothering Aldis until the champion gives him a title shot. Scurll questions why Aldis’ match with Flip Gordon isn’t for the gold. He says a title match is good for business and the fans deserve to see a title defense. Aldis comes to the stage and Scurll goads him on. Aldis calls Scurll’s words audacious.

The champion says Ring of Honor was hot when he was there but now NWA is the hot ticket because of him. Aldis tells Scurll to shut up and he agrees to put the belt on the line against Gordon on one condition. If Aldis wins, any business between them and their respective companies are on Aldis’ business. He also tells Scurll he has to leave the building. Security guards show up and fans chant, “You don’t work here.” Scurll agrees to Aldis’ terms and leaves.
