NXT Superstars Discuss Performing In Brooklyn

Prior to Christmas, a handful of NXT superstars were on hand during a Friday Night SmackDown shoot in Brooklyn, New York to tape a special Christmas night episode of NXT. Lio Rush and Damian Priest were two of the superstars in Brooklyn, and thanks to the WWE we have some behind-the-scenes footage of both superstars taking in the sights of everything.

Speaking to Lio Rush, the superstar spoke about how special it is to be in New York, saying that it was first time competing, which is something he’d always wanted to do. “I’ve been before with Bobby Lashley as a manager, but I’ve never competed in the Barclays Center, and I’ve always wanted to,” he said. “This is a treat, not only for me, but for everybody watching, because I’m bringing it.”

For Damian Priest, this moment was much more about a homecoming for the superstar, who was born in New York. “We could travel all over the world, and you get to meet so many people and perform in front of different crowds,” he said. “But when you’re home, there’s no better feeling, especially when you’re from New York City, it brings something else from inside.”

The WWE also caught up with superstars Tony Nese, who spoke about the special memories he has associated with Brooklyn, and Keith Lee, who also has some special New York-based memories. You can check out the full behind-the-scenes look below.
