Forget the Polar Express, “The Gift Train” is what’s really chugging along this holiday season for wrestling fans.
The MLW National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone joined WrestleZone’s Dominic DeAngelo to discuss his wild and crazy 2019. In addition to that, Hammer talked about what he likes to enjoy around Christmas and his strong willpower when it comes to forgoing Christmas cookies.
Alex Hammerstone on what his favorite Christmas movie is:
“I might go with Home Alone? I feel like there’s one slipping my mind right now. I feel like there’s one that I definitely like that’s like definitely a weird one, but I can’t think.”
“I feel like there’s one of those ones that’s like ‘not technically a Christmas movie,’ but people are like, ‘That’s not a Christmas movie.’ It’s not Die Hard, but I think Home Alone’s up there, man. That one’s one that whenever I was growing up that was one that was on TV, I had to watch it.”
Most disliked Christmas movies:
“Any of like the super old ones. It’s like It’s A Wonderful Life and stuff like that, or A Christmas Story. Not a fan of it. Like all the ones the old people seem to like. They’re always trying to get you watch em and it’s like, ‘I’m not gonna do this. One time viewing it.’ They don’t hold the test of time for me.”
His favorite Christmas cookie:
“Man, well, it’s funny that you say that cause I’m looking at my stove right now and there’s a bunch of Christmas cookies that I’m doing my best not to eat. It’s definitely not necessarily a Christmas treat but any time that I have lemon bars around, that’s one I can’t keep myself away from. I have a really good willpower at not eating sweets but if I see lemon bars in the house, it’s game over.”
