During a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, WWE legendary superstar discussed who he would like to see get a big title push in the future. According to Henry, one person he’d love to see involved more in championship discussions is Randy Orton, the legendary WWE superstar.
“I like it because of the historical reference of Randy Orton,” he said. “He comes from wrestling, he’s a third-generation guy, and when Randy Orton has a title, it’s more exciting because his finish can come out of nowhere.” Henry went on to say that regardless of what kind of story is being told, Orton’s RKO is able to come out of nowhere.
“When AJ Styles has the title, you know you’re going to get one hell of a promo at the beginning of the show,” he said in regards to Orton being able to keep things going. “They’re good for business, and they have the wheels. You need to be able to keep it rolling, keep the show moving, and the show has more movement when you have a guy like a Randy Orton or an AJ Styles.”
Henry went on to say that Chris Jericho is currently holding the title for All Elite Wrestling, in part, because the fans care about him. “The people give a damn about Randy Orton, they give a damn about AJ Styles, and Seth Rollins…he can outwork 98% of the guys that are on the rosters of any company in the world. And when he holds the title, he makes the title, rather then the title making him, and that’s a talent to the talent.”
