Backstage, Candice LeRae says Dakota Kai isn’t going into the ring tonight with Tegan Nox’s friend. Tonight Kai will be in the ring with Nox’s pissed off big sister.
NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match: Lio Rush vs. Akira Tozawa
Tozawa shoulder blocks Rush. Rush kips up. Rush stomps on a dime while running circles around Tozawa. Tozawa misses a senton. Rush misses a splash. Tozawa catches Rush with a nasty surprise right hand. Rush and Tozawa fight on the apron. Rush tries to German suplex Tozawa off the apron. Tozawa fights out of it. Rush tries a sunset bomb. Tozawa puts on the breaks. Tozawa stomps on Rush’s chest. Tozawa crushes Rush with a senton on the apron. After the break, Tozawa hits a senton off the apron. Tozawa sends Rush back into the ring.
Missile dropkick by Tozawa. After a series of reversals Rush and Tozawa kick each other in the face at the same time. Tozawa German suplexes Rush off the apron! Rush kicks Tozawa in the head. Tozawa’s mouth guard falls out. Tozawa collapses to the mat. Rush tries the come up but Tozawa isn’t there. Rush kicks Tozawa a few times. Rush tries the come up again but Tozawa turns it into a German suplex. Tozawa hits another suplex. Tozawa tries a top rope senton but Rush gets his knees up. Rush hits the Final Hour to Tozawa’s back. Rush hits another Final Hour for the win.
