NXT Stars Barely Made SmackDown, Were Helped By A Police Escort

After NXT’s incredible showing during tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown, it’s surprising to hear that the company and its superstars barely made it to the show on time. According to a new report from John Pollock of Post Wrestling, that is the case, however.

Pollock mentions that the NXT charter plane didn’t until 7:55 p.m., which is just five minutes before SmackDown was set to go live. Because of the late entry, the superstars needed a police escort to get them to the building. According to Pollock’s sources, the group “could not have cut it any closer,” and had to rush to make it in time for Shayna Baszler to make her appearance.

Thankfully for WWE, the appearances went off without a hitch, as NXT made a huge splash on Friday Night SmackDown with the crowd. Now, the company is ready to go to war with RAW and SmackDown at WWE Survivor Series.
