The two competitors returned to ringside and Rollins hit two dives in a row. Rowan hit Rollins with the steel steps and a crossbody on the outside for a two count. The big man slammed Rollins spine-first into the steel ring post. Rollins hit a Curb Stomp on the announce table for a near fall. The champion hit a diving crossbody and used a steel chair to punish Rowan. The match returned to the backstage area.
