Xavier Woods was injured at today’s WWE live event in Sydney, Australia after landing awkwardly on his leg during his match.
According to a live account from several fans in attendance including Glenn Harris, The New Day (Woods and Big E) were facing The Revival when Woods was running the ropes in a counter sequence, and on the final counter, he landed awkwardly on his leg and collapsed. The ref then put up the X sign and Woods was carried to the back by medical. Big E ultimately finished the match and lost to The Revival.
Big E made the save for Kofi Kingston later in the night in his match against Randy Orton, but Woods was not seen in the arena the rest of the night. As seen in the photos below (credit: Harris), he did leave the building with crutches and a moon boot. Woods has also commented on the injury, implying that he injured his Achilles tendon.
