Nikki Cross Becomes No. 1 Contender For SmackDown Women’s Title

A segment of MizTV featuring the newly changed Bagley went awry on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, with a handful of superstars coming out and contending for a shot at the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

During the segment – which had The Miz questioning Bayley and Sasha Banks – Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, Carmella, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, and Lacey Evans all came out to throw their hat into the ring for the title. What followed was a massive six-person match, that saw the winner getting an opportunity for the belt.

While the match was a wild one, it was Nikki Cross that eventually came out on top, earning a major victory and getting one step closer to her dream of becoming champion. As she celebrated in the ring, Bayley – who had been watching from the side – stepped up to her, holding the championship up to her face and taunting her. With the two set for a match at some point, it’s clear that Bayley is leaning into her new persona, and no longer being a pushover.
