It’s been a long year for NXT superstar Tommaso Ciampa, who has had to deal with recovering from a neck injury amidst questions about whether or not his career would ever be the same. During Wednesday’s episode of NXT, Ciampa made his return to the NXT ring, and did so in dominating fashion, as he took down Angel Garza to begin what he hopes can be another championship run.
In a match that seemed to be close at first, Ciampa quickly showed why he has the championship pedigree, taking down Garza in quick fashion. Towards the end of the match, Ciampa tossed the Mexican flag at Garza to distract him before grabbing him and landing a Willow’s Bell on Garza for the win.
