NXT kicks off with the return of Tommaso Ciampa!

Tommaso Ciampa vs Angel Garza

The match started off with some quick counter wrestling as the crowd chanted “Daddy Ciampa.”

Garza would take control and land a suicide dive to the floor. garza would maintain control in the rain and eventually do his signature stripping of the tights which would infuriate Ciampa who would pummel him down into the corner and hit a face wash. Before doing the same to the inanimate tights.

Ciampa would win the match by stopping Garza before he could get in the ring with the draping DDT.

WINNER: Tommaso Ciampa

The Undisputed ERA would come out and hand Mauro Ranallo a USB drive. A promo for Finn Bálor appearing live tonight sent us into commercial.

Back from break, they aired the footage from the USB drive, which showed the Undisputed ERA laying waste till the Velveteen Dream backstage. Adam Cole threatened that this is what would continue happening if the group didn’t get respect.

Up Next, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. IMPERIUM.

The match kicked off with Aichner displaying his power and the announcers putting over that he was actually somebody in the Cruiserweight division. As the match continued, Lorcan and Burch displayed great tag team skills. and got a near fall on a tag powerbomb. In response, IMPERIUM would get the upper hand and hit a springboard moonsault for two.

Finally, a blind tag would give IMPERIUM the edge and they would put away the Brit-Am Brawlers with a doomsday uppercut powerbomb combination.

Johnny Gargano promo aired and Cathy Kelley interviewed Johnny backstage who said he doesn’t know how he feels about Ciampa. but they’ll find out when they see each other face-to-face.

Back from commercial, it’s time for Io Shirai to compete.

Io Shirai vs. Kayden Carter

Io Shirai made quick work of Kayden Carter with a beautiful Springboard Dropkick and Moonsault in what was largely a showcase for her.

WINNER: Io Shirai

After the match, she cut a promo saying that she should be the one to challenge Shayna Baszler and not Bianca Belair or Rhea Ripley.

Ripley then appeared And announced that next week she would face Bianca but would have no problem shutting up Io.

Then, William regal announced the Velveteen Dream would be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time but the winner of the Dominik Dijakovic and Keith Lee match will challenge Roderick Strong next week for the North American Championship.

That match is next!
