Candice LeRae walked into NXT attempting to unseat Shayna Baszler as the NXT Women’s Champion, but much like anyone who has recently challenged the champ, they walked away defeated. Baszler once again walked away as the winner, locking in a nasty submission on LeRae and forcing her to tap in order to retain her championship in the latest show of dominance for the rising superstar.
With wins against nearly everyone in the division at NXT, Baszler has proved that she is a true force to be reckoned with, and anyone looking to take her down is going to have to be prepared. LeRae had plenty of opportunities on Wednesday, but Baszler does have the heart of a champion, and it showed in her victory.
