Bully Ray Calls Brock Lesnar RAW Segment The Best Heel Moment In Recent Memory

Brock Lesnar made a shocking entrance to Monday Night RAW last night, when he showed up to attack Rey Mysterio and his son in a fit of rage. Following the assault on the two, Bully Ray and David LaGreca spoke about the segment on SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio, where the two praised the execution, with Bully Ray specifically mentioning how completely dominant and powerful Lesnar seems to be.

“We’ve been programmed to believe or understand that managers can control their wrestlers, correct? Does Paul Heyman really have any control over Brock Lesnar?” Ray said when discussing the relationship between Lesnar and Heyman. “Brock runs the show, and Paul is along for the ride. Brock lets Paul do all of his talking, but when it comes to doing whatever the hell he wants to do, Brock just does it, and you can see the look of shock on Paul’s face. Last night in that opening segment, Paul Heyman did not approve of what Brock Lesnar was doing. He’s questioning Brock, he’s asking Brock to stop, he knows there’s going to be repercussions for what Brock is doing.”

Ray went on to discuss how the argument between the two made things look even realer, noting that the “monster won’t even listen to Dr. Frankenstein” before he and LaGreca agreed that he segment was one of the best Monday Night RAW has had in years.

“What we saw last night was why we fell in love with pro wrestling,” LaGreca said of the segment. “It’s the shock, it’s the fear, it’s that roller coaster ride of emotions, and it started right when he came out, to what he did to Rey Mysterio, what he did to his son, and then finishing it off, attacking them again and then just walking off. And you now as a fan, want Rey Mysterio to get retribution on Brock Lesnar. That’s what pro wrestling is all about…that’s the foundation of this sport. I swear, I thought that was one of the best segments I’ve seen on Monday Night RAW in years.”
