Wednesday marked the start of NXT’s time on television, with the program headed to USA and giving fans an even better look at the many superstars ready to break onto the scene. To start the night, Candice LeRae became the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship, taking out both Io Shirai, Mia Yim, and Bianca Belair to cement a match against Shayna Baszler.
The match itself was a great opening for those watching at home. All four superstars gave it their all in an effort to secure a championship match, but it was LeRae who was able to come away with the win. After Yim and Shirai got into it near the top rope, LeRae landed her finisher on Yim and pinned her for the win.
