La Wera Loca is back on top of AAA’s women’s division as Taya Valkyrie defeated Tessa Blanchard for the Reina de Reinas Championship at Invading NY tonight.
Taya, who is also the current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion, defeated Tessa after a very competitive match, finally hitting Road To Valhalla for the win. The final bell was not where the action stopped, however, as Tessa attacked the new champion after the decision.
Tessa’s first run as Reina de Reinas Champion ends at 43 days. This is Taya’s third reign overall, and first since 2017 when she was stripped of the title by AAA figurehead Vampiro. (The storyline reason for being stripped of the title was due to Taya using an illegal choke, but the legitimate reason has been debated and somewhat controversial.)
