Cedric Alexander had himself a great night during this week’s Monday Night RAW, scoring a big win over A.J. Styles and even getting to share a beer with Steve Austin in the ring. Speaking to SiriusXM’s Busted Open radio, Alexander recapped his night, and his rapid rise to stardom in the WWE.
“You know, it’s scary, it’s one of those things that I never thought would happen, but now that it is, it’s almost unbelievable,” he said. “To the point where I try to describe how I feel about this, about being, you know, closer to the top of WWE, and things like Madison Square Garden, and sharing a beer with Stone Cold, and getting a win over A.J. Styles, it’s almost like sensory overload. To me, it just means that all the hard work that I’ve done for the last 10 years doesn’t go in vein.”
When asked what it feels like to now have other fans looking up to him, Alexander said he almost couldn’t comprehend it. “Man, honestly, I don’t know how to handle it,” he said.” It’s a first for me, to really like, sit back and look and realize that I am a model for people now. A.J. was a model for me, Chris Hero was a model for me, all those guys were, you know, guys I looked up to and modeled myself after, and now like, to realize I’m kind of in that same, or I’m becoming that same mold, it’s humbling too.”
