Jim Ross: ‘Jericho Will Always Deliver’ in Main Events, All Out Was ‘Maybe Too Long’

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Jim Ross commented on All Out’s main event. While some fans had an issue with Chris Jericho coming out on top, Jim Ross doesn’t see the problem. “Jericho will always deliver. If the fact that he’s in his late 40’s is the reason for not making him champion, it’s kind of a lame reason.” Ross echos many commenters by saying that Jericho is a “name people understand and know,” which seems vital going into All Elite Wrestling’s weekly TV program.

Jim Ross did have some criticism for All Out’s structure, which may have taken the wind out of the sails of some fans. “I might have put a match between the Young Bucks and the Lucha Bros. before Jericho and Page. The ladder match is damn near impossible to follow seamlessly.” Ross also mentioned that All Out was “maybe too long,” which tired fans before the bit title match.
