New Japan Pro-Wrestling Announces Full Lineup For Three Destruction Events, First Three King of Pro Wrestling Bouts

In American wrestling, we’re lucky to know the full card for any given big event a few weeks out from the show. New Japan has bucked that trend today by announcing its full slate of events for the month of September and even a bit of what’s happening in October. Featuring epic rematches and title clashes, let’s go into what’s next for the promotion.

First off, on Sunday, September 15, we have Destruction in Beppu. The main event here will be a Royal Quest return bout with the British Heavyweight Championship in the balance. Zack Sabre Jr. hopes to reclaim his gold from new champion Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Secondly, on Monday, September 16, Destruction in Kagoshima will see Kota Ibushi and KENTA clash in the main event. G1 Climax winner Ibushi will be defending his Right to Challenge Contract against KENTA, who beat him in the first round of the tournament.

Finally, October 14’s King of Pro Wrestling event has three headline title matches already on the books. The IWGP Heavyweight Championship will be decided when champion Kazuchika Okada defends his belt against SANADA. IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley will also be in action, defending his title against Juice Robinson after the pair brawled in his NJPW debut. Finally, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship is on the line with Will Ospreay taking on El Phantasmo.
