Conrad Thompson Talks Before Starrcast III & The Panel To Watch Out For

I got to sit down with Conrad Thompson smack dab in the middle of the Hyatt Regency to talk about his team getting the hotel set up for Starrcast III. Conrad goes into detail about the lessons he learned in setting up from the first two Starrcasts and what fans can expect from this Labor Day Weekend.  Conrad also teases us regarding something that they got going on with CM Punk. Quotes and full audio of the interview are below:

Conrad Thompson on lessons learned from the first Starrcast in Chicago:

“I felt like at the time I thought it was going to be the Woodstock of wrestling I didn’t say no to anything so anybody who wanted to come it was come one come all. So as a result, we had people in the hallways, you just couldn’t move cause there was so much humanity. And this year we learned a lot of lessons from doing it not once but twice, but we’ve also made it a lot easier to sort of navigate we’re pretty excited that three is not going to be nearly as stressful.”

On what panel people should look out for at Starrcast III:

“Yeah, ‘Wrestling With Stereotypes’ is flying under the radar. I didn’t get to see it at Tuscany, but I had multiple people tell me that was one of the best panels of the weekend but it was at Tuscany, it wasn’t at Caesar’s. It wasn’t on FITE and a lot of people didn’t get an opportunity to see it so I reached out to Andreas Hale who put that together and I said, “Hey man, what if we tried to do this on a bigger stage at Starrcast III,” and he jumped at the chance so we’re really excited that we’re going to have some of a “who’s who” of professional wrestling there to discuss a topic that maybe hasn’t been at the forefront and I’m excited to create that conversation and discussion here at Starrcast.”

On the future of Starrcast:

“As I’m talking to you now, I don’t have a fourth one on the books. That’s not to say I won’t do a fourth one, but let me just say plainly, I love Chicago so if there is a chance to do anything in Chicago again with a great partner like we had with Melissa and all the folks here at Hyatt Regency.

Conrad hits us with a CM Punk tease:

“When people see with something we got coming with CM Punk everybody’s gonna wanna see this.”
