Brandi Rhodes On AEW Coming To Pittsburgh, Britt Baker’s Latent Potential

All Elite Wrestling’s TV tapings are selling out fast no matter where the company heads. Four their fourth episode, the company is heading to Pittsburgh, and Brandi Rhodes sat down with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review to discuss why they made that selection.

“Pittsburgh has always been fantastic for wrestling,” said Rhodes. “It’s just one of those towns that’s really passionate about it. We’ve always seen really great shows coming from Pittsburgh, and the fans are amazing. It was definitely one of the first cities we wanted to hit.”

In addition to its wrestling history, Pittsburgh has a connection to AEW that’s a bit closer to home. Their first women’s signee, Britt Baker, is from the city. She graduated from college on the campus where AEW will film their TV, and she also earned her famous dentist’s certification in her hometown. Brandi states that this factoid won’t be passed up. “She got her degree steps away from where we’re going to be, so it will be sentimental for her and should be a nice moment.”

Brandi also praises Britt for her untapped potential as a performer, obviously hoping that it will bloom in All Elite. “Britt has always been on the cusp of doing something different. She’s a very talented wrestler, and she’s had a lot options in her career and life. The path she wanted to take is the one of the disruptor, and that’s who we are.”
