Andrade opened up tonight’s set of King of the Ring Tournament matches on SmackDown Live with a big win against Apollo Crews. The match went back and forth for its entirety, but saw Andrade come away with the victory after some interference from Zelina Vega. After Crews had Andrade staggered, Vega managed to halt the action by grabbing Andrade and keeping him from getting knocked down. Thanks to the distraction, Andrade was able to slip away from Crews and know him out, punching his ticket into the next round of the King of the Ring tournament.

Later on in the night, Elias was able to score a shocking upset over Kevin Owens in the King of the Ring tournament. Closing out the night of SmackDown Live, Elias got the victory thanks to Shane McMahon jumping into the ring as a special referee. Due to the confusion, Elias quickly pulled Owens down for a pin, and McMahon quick counted their way to victory. The win knocks Owens out of the tournament, and will likely continue to make his hatred of Shane grow even more.
