Report: NXT To Debut On USA Network On September 18

NXT is set to make a big move with a new two-hour show that will reportedly debut on USA Network on September 18.

According to a report by Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, WWE will formally announce the move on RAW tonight, and speculated that venues for the first few events will also be revealed. It’s been rumored that WWE may bring NXT to FS1, and last week it was reported that USA was the more likely destination, with an announcement expected tonight. NXT has recorded their TV tapings at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida since 2012, going on the road and taping content at live events and TakeOver shows on certain occasions.

Meltzer noted the September 18 date is likely in response to wanting to get a jump on All Elite Wrestling, who will debut on TNT on October 2 in Washington, D.C. The NXT show will air from 8-10 p.m. EST, which would put it head-to-head with AEW on TNT on Wednesday nights. AEW has already sold out their first three television taping dates, with the week two and three tapings set for Boston and Philadelphia.
