Edge Thinks He Could Do A Match ‘Tomorrow’, Says He’s Looked Into Stem Cell Therapy

Edge gave fans a memorable moment at SummerSlam by hitting his first in-ring spear in nearly eight years, and now he says he thinks he could do another match.

Edge talked about his big segment on this week’s episode of “Edge and Christian’s Pod Of Awesomeness” and said he feels good enough where he thinks he could have a match tomorrow. Edge went on to explain that the obvious factor of WWE not clearing him stands out, and although he might be blown up afterwards, he thinks he’d be ready for one more match.

“To be perfectly honest, I think I could do a match tomorrow. I might be blown up but I’d be okay. It’s just from what I know with the WWE medical staff, they won’t allow. It is what it is, right?”

He added that he “did have a doctor tell me that he thinks they’ll be able to basically get my neck relatively healthy within five years” and that he’s looked into doing stem cell therapy. He also noted he’s done some physical work in acting, including a spear to Robert Maillet (former WWE star Kurrgan) on the set of Haven, and knows a full-time return isn’t possible, but one match might be a possibility.

“Just from the stuff I’ve experienced in the last eight years and the things I’ve done physically, it’s like ‘I could pull off one.’ I’m not saying I could pull of a year’s worth. I’m sure you [Christian] could too.”
