Episode 6 of All Elite Wrestling’s The Road to All Out is dedicated to a passionate promo from Brandi Rhodes speaking directly to Shawn Spears. “There is a difference between being a wrestler and being a pro wrestler. Someone who eats, sleeps, breathes and devotes everything they have to that ring and my husband is a goddamn exemplary pro wrestler. But you, I think you’re pretending.”
After premiering for the company at Double or Nothing, Spears made his name in his new home by blasting Cody Rhodes with a steel chair to the back of his head. Brandi lays out the consequences of his actions pretty plainly. “That blood that I saw pooling out of the back of his head may as well have been a mirror into your future.” After describing a series of other violent moments in Cody’s career, Brandi says that her husband “always gets back up” and asks Shawn if he can do the same.
