Hiromu Takahashi Status & Return Update

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer has provided an update as to when fans may expect Hiromu Takahashi to return to a NJPW ring.

According to Meltzer on last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, a source told him before that Takahashi would be ready to return by late summer and he hears that the injured star is doing real well. There is no clear time frame as to when he’s coming back, but Hiromu is indeed slated for an in-ring return and NJPW wants it to be a real big moment.

There were plenty of concerns that Takahashi wouldn’t be coming back after suffering a broken neck against Dragon Lee at the G1 Special in San Francisco last summer. Takahashi, who was the NJPW Junior Heavyweight Champion, was forced to vacate the belt due to this.
