At WWE SummerSlam, Bayley defended the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ember Moon. The match didn’t feature a lot of bad blood; Bayley respectfully chose to face Moon, who hoped to show the world what she could do. During the match, Moon successfully showcased her abilities but she failed to win the match. Bayley put Moon away with a Bayley-to-Belly off the top rope to retain the title.

Moon and Bayley trade takedowns. Bayley lands a clothesline in the corner. Moos responds with a running elbow in the corner. Bayley lands a knee in the corner. Moon blasts Bayley with a handspring elbow. Crossbody block for a near fall by Moon. Moon dropkicks Bayley. Moon puts Bayley in a bow and arrow. Moon avoids the second rope stunner. Moon misses a springboard splash. Bayley decimates Moon with a Regal knee. Top rope suplex by Bayley. Bayley tries to DDT Moon off the apron. Moon escapes but eats a boot from Bayley.
Bayley stuns Moon on the middle turnbuckle. Bayley hangs Moon in the tree of woe. Bayley elbow drops Moon for another two count. Inverted Boston crab by Bayley. Moon launches Bayley into the ropes. Moon superkicks Bayley. Moon tries a suicide dive but Bayley blasts her with an elbow strike. Bayley goes up top but Moon cuts Bayley off. Moon hits a ranna off the top. Moon picks up Bayley and hits a Canadian backbreaker into a code breaker. Bayley manages to kick out. Bayley goes up top. Moon yanks Bayley off the top and powerbombs her. Bayley kicks out. Moon goes up top. Bayley cuts her off and hits an avalanche Bayley-to-Belly for the win!
