Natalya Talks Not Being Pushed Around By Becky Lynch, SummerSlam Title Match

Natalya is making the media rounds including making a stop to talk with The Whig to promote the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

At this show, the WWE Veteran is slated to challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title.

In this interview, Natalya talked about how her beliefs have cost her title opportunities in the past. This is something that she won’t change as she doesn’t want to be pushed around. That includes not being pushed around by Lynch.

“I’m not going to be pushed around, even by Becky Lynch,” Natalya said passionately. “She wants to talk about how she is the women’s evolution … No. The women’s evolution has been built on the backs of women like me. I wasn’t one of the Four Horsewomen in NXT.

I wasn’t in the right place at the right time. I was part of WWE when there wasn’t the women’s evolution, when women weren’t being featured, when women weren’t at the forefront, when women were having 45-second matches. I was part of the company when we weren’t being highlighted. I stuck it out through dance contests and diva dance-offs and Santa’s Little Helper matches and 45-second matches with Alicia Fox on Raw, through some really hard times,” she said, adding that she even had to endure a period when her character was known for her flatulence.”

Natalya added that she knows she won’t be alone when she walks to the ring. She believes that her late father, Jim Neidhart, will be with her.

“This match, this opportunity … I just know my dad has a part in it,” she said. “My dad had a part in his hall of fame induction. I feel like he’s been helping navigate things from where he is. It’s also been hard work and a lot of relentlessness, but my dad has kind of helped the stars align and I feel like he’s going to have the best seat in the house in Toronto at SummerSlam.”
