In a video posted to All Elite Wrestling’s Twitter account, Kenny Omega gives a brief word about his AAA debut this past week. He states his intention to continue wrestling in companies like AAA, which does have a working relationship with AEW. “I don’t feel like it ends here. It’s an entire journey this year. A bit of unexpected turns, roadblocks, forks in the road. For some reason, it led me here. I don’t want to quit when I feel so close.” Kenny goes on to remind Fenix that he’s pinned him in multiple situations, hoping to rattle his opponent before their upcoming title match.

Despite losing in a tag team effort alongside The Young Bucks against Pentagon, Fenix, & Laredo Kid, Omega later got on the mic and challenged Fenix to a AAA Mega Championship match. Fenix accepted, and the match will take place in Mexico at an undetermined point in the future.
