NXT UK Talent Reportedly Barred From Appearing On Streaming Indie Shows

According to sources speaking with Voices of Wrestling, WWE is working to make the talent wrestling in NXT UK even more exclusive to their promotion. As previously understood, NXT UK talent was signed to one of three tiers of contract. At the highest tier, big stars such as Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate are already just restricted to NXT UK and WWE approved indies such as PROGRESS and EVOLVE. In the past, lower-tier talent could appear as they please, and this is what may be changing.

We have learned through a source that WWE has informed (or will inform in some cases) affiliated European indies that NXT UK contracted talent may no longer appear on streaming services. They can work shows, but dark matches only.

This means that many of the region’s stars are essentially locked out of ongoing storylines in non-WWE promotions. Voices of Wrestling also notes that European indies are already making moves to facilitate this new rule.
