Gunner Miller Calls AEW Signing Marko Stunt A ‘Slap In The Face,’ Nick Jackson Responds

Yesterday it was announced that the “fun sized” wrestler Marko Stunt had signed a deal with All Elite Wrestling. Many celebrated the news as Stunt has become a commodity on the indie circuit, but indie wrestler Gunner Miller didn’t agree. In fact, he called it a “slap in the face” to real athletes.

Check out his Facebook post below:

When I was 6 I wanted to be a professional wrestler. I idolized the men I saw on TV flipping the channel from Raw to Nitro each Monday night. Men like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, HHH, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels… Hulk Hogan, Warrior, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Goldberg, Sting… too many men to name..

So then I train hard my entire life(still training).. getting recognized in college by Warrior, getting scouted by Brisco.. jumping into the Wrestling world myself in 2014.. doing all the right things(still doing it).. saying all the right things(eh this might have changed).. rubbing the right elbows(eh maybe pissing some people off).. just wanting a shot at a contract to get my foot in the door and have a PLATFORM to perform..

But in reality… this is what a ‘major’ promotion decides to sign. 5’2 & 115lbs Of Marko Stunt… a guy that 6 year old me laughs at.

Maybe I’m wrong.. but I don’t care.. this is silly as [poop emoji] and a slap in the face (my face) to real athletes.

All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Nick Jackson didn’t take kindly to the insults. In his post congratulating Stunt on his new gig, he also took a shot back at Miller. “Congrats Marko Stunt. Oh and you’re way better than that Gunner guy,” he wrote.
