Matt Hardy Is The Surprise Opponent For AJ Styles

AJ Styles probably wasn’t expecting to see the vessel of Matt Hardy show up to challenge him for his United States Championship at a WWE Live Show in Springfield, MO over the weekend, but that is exactly what the broken and woken one did. Donning his classic Hardy Boy duds, Matt Hardy shocked the live crowd in attendance by answering the siren’s call of the US Title. AJ Styles got the nefarious win by grabbing hold of Hardy’s pants during a roll-up after an 18 minute match (h/t to Brian Thompson of PWInsider). You can see the clip below:
