Further Details On Rachel Ellering Suffering A Knee Injury At NXT House Show

Jim Varsallone was in attendance for an NXT house show in Fort Pierce, FL on Saturday and witnessed the unfortunate occurrence of Rachel Ellering injuring her knee during a match against Lacey Lane. Ellering, who goes by Rachel Evers in NXT, was helped to the back by officials after an “X” sign was thrown up twice. Varsallone gave his account of the situation below on his Facebook page:

Want to wish WWE NXT Superstar Rachel Evers (Rachael Ellering) all the best.

At NXT Fort Pierce on Saturday night, she injured her left leg in a match with Lacey Lane. Evers, playing the heel, was accompanied to the ring by The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo. When the injury occurred, Referee Jessika Carr quickly called for the match and gave the X sign, twice.

The respectful crowd went silent as medical, referees, security and paramedics were on the scene. Eventually, she was able to bend her left leg gingerly in the ring, and the tough-minded competitor did not leave on a stretcher, which was there.

Hoping for the best, appreciative fans then applauded as she was carried to the back.

Dave Meltzer is also reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio that Ellering blew out her knee. This isn’t the only NXT star to be injured over this weekend. Karen Q also suffered a broken leg in a multi-women tag match at an Atlanta show in which she had to be carried out of the ring.
