WWE Smackville Event Set For Next Week; Triple Threat WWE Title Match To Headline WWE Network Broadcast

WWE Smackville is coming to the Music City. WWE.com posted the following, announcing a new event called ‘Smackville’ that will take place next Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee. Kofi Kingston is set to defend his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe in a triple threat match.

WWE is proud to announce the SMACKVILLE special event, featuring a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship and streaming live from Nashville, Tenn. exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network on Saturday, July 27.

The explosive in-ring action will include a main event Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship in which Kofi Kingston will be challenged by Dolph Ziggler and Samoa Joe. In addition, newly crowned Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will go head-to-head with former titleholder Finn Bálor in a rematch from WWE Extreme Rules. The evening will also feature a special musical performance by Elias.

It’s worth noting that this event was previously set to be a ‘WWE Summerslam Heatwave Tour’ live event. Kingston, Joe and Ziggler, along with Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Finn Balor, Xavier Woods and Big E were already being advertised for the event.
