It might not be too long until we see Drake Maverick actually suit up for in-ring competition. After tonight’s 205 Live, Mike Kanellis and Maverick seemed ready to brawl. Backstage at the event, 205 Live general manager Drake Maverick kicked things up a notch, challenging Kanellis to a match after the two of them nearly came to blows during the show. After being pushed past his limits, Maverick seems ready to finally take on the man who has been antagonizing him, and now Kanellis will have a shot at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship if he can beat the GM.
It all stemmed from Kanellis stating one of his goals was to kick Maverick’s ass in which Drake stated that maybe Kanellis should focus on all his matches because his loss on RAW was a perfect indicator as to how he hasn’t. This led to Kanellis taking shots at Maverick’s in-bed performance and eventually shots at his newly wedded wife, which then set the GM off. Both videos recapping the 205 Live occurrence are below:
