Ex-WWE Star John ‘The Bezerker’ Nord Sentenced For DUI Arrests

According to a report from The Minnesota Star-Tribune, former WWE and AWA star John Nord was sentenced to five years probation yesterday. He will also be placed in restrictive housing and banned from driving “whatsoever.” The sentence was handed down after several arrests for driving under the influence, which totaled to seven.

The report adds that there were court records which indicated there were 16 incidents where authorities charged Nord with either a felony or misdemeanor over the last decade. His most recent was on March 23 where Nord was arrested on a felony charge for driving while intoxicated/operating a car under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also driving on a canceled license. Nord had his license canceled after he was deemed “inimical to public safety.”

He was arrested six times for driving after his license was revoked. The prosecution was attempting to push for four years of prison time, as they argued Nord “represents a significant public safety threat.” Nord’s representation argued that he has been diagnosed with ALS and has been taking pain killers to deal with the physical and mental damage professional wrestling has done to his body. They add he is currently in treatment for his issues and will need to live in assisted living facilities for the rest of his life.
