Ali Inspires Two Boys After His SmackDown Promo

If you didn’t get a chance to see SmackDown last night, Ali cut quite the ultimate babyface promo. The former police officer spoke with conviction that certainly found it’s way to the eyes and ears of many fans, including two boys that were in attendance for the show in Manchester, New Hampshire. The boys’ father went on Twitter to tell Ali how he became their new favorite grappler.

Took 2 boys, ages 9 and 5, to last nite – you’re their new favorite. After your promo aired, the oldest said, “he stands up for what’s right. We should all do that.” Keep doing you, dude. Much love and support.

You can read & watch the full promo below (Transcription credit should go to Dominic DeAngelo at WrestleZone):

“When you see evil, you’re supposed to run. Not me. No, I run towards it and it’s not because I’m a man with no fears, no. I’ve got plenty of fears. It’s because I know that evil only wins when the good stand by and do nothing. So it doesn’t matter what evil looks like – could be a monster, could be a giant, hell, it could be the devil himself. I’ve seen them all and I fought them all. I saw them every night as a police officer working that midnight shift. I saw evil amongst the people that I swore to protect and serve. Hell man, I saw evil amongst the people that swore to protect and serve. So you all need to know this: there is no monster that can scare me, no giant that I can’t stand tall against, no evil that I will not battle and if I should meet the devil again and he wants to square up and lock eyes, I will ask him, ‘May I have this dance?’ To anybody out there that’s facing their own evil, remember this: evil only wins when you don’t show up to fight.”
