205 Live Results (07/09/19): Oney Lorcan Takes On Ariya Daivari

Tonight’s 205 Live promised to be a big one, as the main event had Oney Lorcan looking to take revenge on Ariya Daivari in the form of an Anything Goes match. From the start of the show, Lorcan and Daivari kicked things off by fighting backstage, eventually needing to be pulled apart from each other by Drake Maverick and security. Needless to say, the duo has no love for each other.

The first official match of the night saw Sunil Singh and Brian Kendrick taking each other on, with Singh starting the match off with his usual antics of dancing and playing around with his opponent. Things quickly got serious, however, as Kendrick and Sunil began to trade punches with each other. Unfortunately for Singh, however, his antics wouldn’t help him out too much. Towards the end of the match, Samir Singh attempted to help out Sunil by delivering a low blow to Kendrick.

While it looked to be working a moment, Kendrick was able to counter a suppler attempt and trap Sunil into the Bully Choke, which caused Sunil to tap out. After the match, Samir jumped in and attempted to deliver a beating to Kendrick, but Akira Tozawa stormed into the ring and saved the day.

The following match was a bit of a quick one, as Jack Gallagher was able to make short work of Devin Justin. Gallagher spent most of the match dominating Justin, but the affair was interrupted by Mike Kanellis, who came through the crowd in street clothes and began dumping trash along the side of the ring. With Drake Maverick and security coming out to calm things down, Gallagher was able to roll Justin up for the victory. Backstage, Kanellis was penalized for his interference, with Maverick fining him for the misconduct.

When it was time for the main event to begin, both Lorcan and Daivari wasted no time in absolutely going after each other. With the crowd chanting on as the superstars began grabbing weapons to use, Lorcan and Daivari traded elbows and punches during the chaotic beginning. Soon enough, the duo had dragged out ladders and chairs to use against one another.

As things continued to drag on, both superstars took to outside of the ring, where Daivari dove right into the middle of a trash can courtesy of Lorcan. As the crowd continued to chant for the superstars to use a table, Lorcan instead continued his assault of Daivari, throwing him tinto the ringside steps and hitting him anything he could find.

With Daivari too weak to move, Lorcan begun setting up a row of chairs, but unfortunately for Lorcan, just as he was ready to send Daivari in the chairs,, Daivari ended up getting up and countering Lorcan, flipping him into the chairs instead. As both superstars made their way back into the ring, Daivari began setting up a ladder and table in the ring. Climbing the ladder, Daivari landed a huge splash on Lorcan, but Lorcan was able to kick out of the pin.

Angry at Lorcan, Daivari decided to bring a second table into the ring, and set it up next to the original. From there, he rolled Lorcan onto the pair of tables, and climbed to the top ropes. Unfortunately for Daivari, Lorcan was able to quickly get up, and with a big suplex, put the pair of them through the table. With Lorcan falling on top of Daivari, he was crowned the winner thanks to a pinfall.
