If you’re wondering why SmackDown Live didn’t feature the WWE Champion in a match this week, it’s because he was injured.
As reported by Wrestling Inc., Kofi Kingston suffered an injury against Dolph Ziggler on Sunday at a WWE house show. However, it’s said to be a minor setback and while they kept him off of television this week to stay healthy, he’s still expected to perform at Extreme Rules on Sunday. He’ll put his belt on the line against Samoa Joe.
